The Subcommittee on National Security

The Subcommittee on National Security is chaired by Rep. Jason Chaffetz (UT-03) and is primarily responsible for overseeing the Departments of State, Defense and Homeland Security, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Subcommittee holds hearings and conducts investigations of policies, personnel and procedures within these executive entities. The Subcommittee has legislative jurisdiction over drug policy, and oversees the policies of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
