Chairwoman Maloney Applauds Senate Confirmation of Krista Boyd to Serve as OPM Inspector General
Washington, D.C. (April 7, 2022)—Today, Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, Chairwoman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, issued the following statement after the Senate unanimously confirmed Krista Boyd, Chief Counsel for Oversight and Policy for the Committee, to serve as Inspector General of the Office of Personnel Management:
“Krista Boyd is a dedicated civil servant who has faithfully devoted her career to rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse of federal resources and strengthening the American people’s trust in government. Krista’s leadership on the Oversight Committee staff has been critical to advancing historic reforms to protect whistleblowers, empower inspectors general, and hold government officials accountable no matter who is in power. As Chairwoman, I have relied on Krista’s wisdom and guidance, just as I know my predecessor Elijah Cummings and other past Committee chairs have done.
“Krista will continue to be a champion for transparency and government accountability as the Inspector General for the Office of Personnel Management. The unanimous vote in the Senate to confirm her as one of our nation’s top watchdogs is a testament to her exemplary qualifications for this important role.”
