The TARP and Financial Services Subcommittee holds the federal government accountable to taxpayers with a focus on financial and monetary policy, banking, housing, and insurance regulation, financial crisis and rescues and tax policy.
Led by Subcommittee Chairman Patrick McHenry this Congress, the TARP and Financial Services Subcommittee has examined the effects of the Dodd-Frank Act, state and municipal debt, and transparency and accountability within financial federal agencies, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
