ICYMI: Comer Joins Fox News Primetime, Blasts U.S. Treasury Providing Cover for Hunter Biden

WASHINGTON — House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.) joined “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Fox News to discuss the Biden Administration stonewalling Oversight Committee Republicans’ investigation into Hunter Biden and other Biden associates and family members’ suspicious foreign business transactions flagged by U.S. banks.

“It certainly looks like they are trying to cover for Hunter Biden. This is a pattern in this White House … The fact that Hunter Biden and the president’s brother have at least 150 suspicious activity reports is very serious … Congress used to get suspicious activity reports from the U.S. Treasury, but when Joe Biden became president, without telling anyone, in the dark of night, he changed that rule. And now, you cannot access those suspicious activity reports,” said Ranking Member Comer. “To have 150 suspicious activity reports proves what we’ve been saying all along: Hunter Biden is a national security risk.”

On July 6, 2022, Ranking Member Comer renewed his request from May 25, 2022 to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen for information regarding Hunter Biden and other Biden associates and family members’ suspicious foreign business transactions flagged by U.S. banks. According to a recent media report, more than 150 of Hunter Biden and the Biden network’s international business transactions have generated suspicious activity reports by U.S. banks for further review by the Treasury Department. The Treasury Department used to provide these reports to Congress, but the Biden Administration has restricted access to them, raising questions about a possible effort to hide the Biden network’s suspicious business dealings.
