Comer Announces Markup of Bills to Reform Government Spending, Reduce Regulatory Burdens, and Improve Cybersecurity
WASHINGTON – Today, House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced a markup of several bills that aim to reform government spending, prohibit the Biden Administration’s regulatory overreach, and ensure federal government cybersecurity improvements.
“The House Oversight Committee continues to hold this Administration accountable and address areas in the federal government that are inefficient and vulnerable to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement. Next week’s markup is another step in our ongoing mission to ensure the government is working for all Americans,” said Chairman James Comer. “From addressing government spending to reducing burdensome regulations, these bills will lay a foundation for real improvements, transparency, and accountability.”
