Grothman Announces Hearing Examining Force Multipliers and Emerging Technology Used to Assist Border Patrol Agents & Disrupt Transnational Crime
WASHINGTON — Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs Chairman Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.) will hold a subcommittee hearing titled “Force Multipliers: Examining the Need for Additional Resources to Disrupt Transnational Crime at the Border and Beyond.” This subcommittee hearing will explore the ways the Department of Homeland Security uses force multipliers and intelligence to slow the scourge of crime, drugs, and human trafficking that are plaguing the U.S southern border.
“Force multipliers such as canines and enhanced technologies are critical tools for our U.S. Border Patrol agents to help identify and disrupt transnational criminal activities including human smuggling, terrorism, and narcotics trafficking. I look forward to hearing from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials about the effectiveness of technology and resources used to identify national security risks stemming from President Biden’s border crisis,” said Subcommittee Chairman Grothman.
