PURPOSE:
- To examine agencies’ progress in implementing the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) and the implications for IT acquisition reform and security.
BACKGROUND:
- In December 2014, Congress enacted FITARA to promote federal IT modernization and to strengthen the IT workforce.
- The Committee along with the Government Accountability Office developed a scorecard to assess agencies’ FITARA implementation efforts, assigning a grade from A to F.
- The Committee released scorecards in November 2015, May 2016, and December 2016; the FITARA Scorecard 4.0 will be released Tuesday morning.
