Oversight Committee Chairman Issa Statement on President Obama’s Revocation of Proposed Ozone Rule

(WASHINGTON)—House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) today released the following statement regarding President Obama’s decision to reverse a proposed Environmental Protection Agency Ozone regulation:

“I appreciate President Obama’s actions to intervene in the implementation of a regulation that Republicans in Congress have been spotlighting for months in reports, hearings and independent investigations.

“At each turn, one point was made clear: this regulation is a proven job killer and only one element of a larger regulatory train wreck orchestrated by the Obama Administration.

“I hope that today’s announcement will be the first of many areas where the President begins to join Republicans by putting job creation and economic recovery as his top priorities not more red tape and regulation.”
