“Financial Management, Work Force, and Operations at the SEC: Who’s Watching Wall Street’s Watchdog?”

ON THURSDAY, MARCH 10TH AT 1:30 PM

Oversight Subcommittees to Probe SEC’s Management Practices

 

WASHINGTON, D.C – This hearing will provide Members of the Subcommittee on TARP, Financial Services and Bailouts of Public and Private Programs and the Subcommittee on Government Organization, Efficiency and Financial Management with an opportunity to explore current and historical problems with the SEC’s management practices.

 

The hearing will ask questions about the agency’s handling of Mr. David Becker’s conflict of interest regarding the Madoff case and how it relates to those management problems. The hearing will also examine the way management handled 2010’s employee pornography scandal and audits of the SEC’s internal controls.
