Comer, Steil Announce Joint Hearing on ACE Act
WASHINGTON—House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Committee on House Administration Chairman Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) today announced a joint hearing titled “American Confidence in Elections: The Path to Election Integrity in the District of Columbia.” The joint hearing will examine the American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act, comprehensive legislation that focuses on strong election integrity reforms in the District of Columbia and protects Americans’ right to political speech.
“Congress needs to get serious about election integrity and implement a comprehensive plan to restore confidence in America’s electoral process. The American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act is landmark legislation set to build voter confidence, equip states, protect Americans’ political speech, and ensure overdue election integrity measures for the District of Columbia. The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and Committee on House Administration are holding a joint hearing to examine the ACE Act and hear from key witnesses on the critical improvements this bill makes for the American people,” said Chairmen Comer and Steil.
