Comer: Congress Must Shine a Light on President Biden’s Regulatory Overreach

Announces hearing to examine the Biden Administration’s red tape assault on America’s economy

WASHINGTON—House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) will hold a full committee hearing titled “Death by a Thousand Regulations: The Biden Administration’s Campaign to Bury America in Red Tape.” This hearing will examine the Biden Administration’s historic level of regulatory overreach and President Biden’s decision to rescind nearly all the Trump Administration’s successful regulatory reforms.

“Since the day President Biden took office, the Biden Administration has morphed into a red tape regime. Successful regulatory reforms under President Trump are being tossed aside in favor of a radical, excessive regulatory agenda. Limiting bureaucratic regulations sparked the greatest economy in the world. Now, this government intrusion by the Biden Administration has jeopardized Americans’ ability to secure quality jobs and continues to hurt small businesses struggling to recover from the pandemic. Congress has a responsibility to shine a light on President Biden’s regulatory overreach. I look forward to holding this hearing and examining solutions to this Administration’s unchecked bureaucratic regulations,” said Chairman James Comer.
