Fallon to Hold Hearing on Security of America’s Power Grid

WASHINGTON—Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs Chairman Pat Fallon (R-Texas.) today announced a hearing titled “The Power Struggle: Examining the Reliability and Security of America’s Electrical Grid” to examine the risks associated with Biden Administration actions to rapidly expand electric power demand across various sectors of the economy.

“The House Oversight Committee will continue to hold the Biden Administration accountable for its radical, anti-American energy and environmental policies that are impacting Americans across the country. The Biden Administration is jeopardizing the security of our power grid and raising energy costs by proposing a rapid expansion of electric power demands. The United States must rely upon a diverse array of energy sources, including fossil fuels, renewables, nuclear energy, and hydropower, to meet national and regional power demands. At this hearing, we look forward to examining how the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and other relevant entities are identifying and addressing ongoing threats and challenges to affordable, reliable energy,” said Subcommittee Chairman Pat Fallon (R-Texas.)
