HEARING ADVISORY: Healthcare Subcommittee to Examine Tax Complications for Americans Under The Affordable Care Act

WASHINGTON– On Thursday, February 26th, The House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Healthcare, Benefits, and Administrative Rules will hold a hearing titled “From Healthcare Enrollment to Tax Filing: A PPACA Update”.

 

The hearing will examine the ongoing implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) in light of the recent announcement that the second open enrollment period will be extended for some individuals who may face a penalty because of the law. The Subcommittee will receive an update on HealthCare.gov enrollment numbers, and potential issues individuals may face as the deadline for tax season approaches.
